Recently cats have gained huge Internet fame from appearing in viral videos, to cute cat pictures with funny captions.
10. A group of grown cats is called a “clowder.” If I saw a large group of cats, I probably wouldn’t yell “Look! A clowder!” I’d say, “Look! Cats!” That way no one thinks I’m crazy.
9. A cat can jump five times as high as its tail. What about those cats who only have little stubby tails?
8. Cats bury their feces to cover their trails from predators. If I am my cat’s predator, it needs to do a better job of covering that stench.
7. Cats lap liquid from the underside of their tongue, not from the top. Sadly, when I read this, I didn’t think it was possible, so after I ate my cereal I tried lapping up my milk this way.
Needless to say, humans are unable to do it, and when they try, they look ridiculous.
6. Cats can be right-pawed or left-pawed. Are there are any ambidextrous cats out there?
5. A cat cannot see directly under its nose. I have seen a lot of cross-eyed cats, so it looks like they’re trying
.
4. A cat uses its whiskers to determine if a space is too small to squeeze through. So that’s why my cat gets mad when I try to put her into small containers.
3. A cat will spend nearly 30 per cent of his or her life grooming herself. And I thought I was high maintenance.
2. A cat has more bones than a human; humans have 206, but the cat has over 230. A cat is like one-quarter as tall as me. That’s a lot of bones for a little feline.
1. A cat’s urine glows under a black light. I’m not sure who discovered this, or how they did it, and I’m not sure I really want to know.
I would just like to say thanks to the person, who would like to remain anonymous, for the suggestion for the idea for this Top 10 list.
